4.       Old Business:

a.       Tournament of Champions, paying for Team Entry fee and Lodging.  It was voted on and approved but the amount to be paid was tabled until later in the year.  (Requires a nomination and vote) – June Update: None.  Tabled until later in the year

b.      Club paying for Two-day fishing event.  Suggestions were made that entry fees be made for current club members.  We would be using some of the money taken in from the PowerPole Raffle. (Requires a nomination and vote) – June Update: Voted and approved to cover entry fee (not including Big Bass pot) and to also pay back 5 places.  Paying additional money for the next two day (Millers Ferry) was Tabled until later in the yearRemember to get your cabins early as this tournament is on a Holiday weekend (Labor Day).

c.       New decals to replace the current ones (bass emblem):  There was discussion on going with the sample decal presented.  Motion to table this until Roy is able to get with the company to see if they can reproduce something that is more in line with what we already have but changing out the “bass”.   It was approved to table.  Also the price of the new decal is $3.50 each and no limit on how many we order.  This may change with the new design after Roy works with the company.  June Update:  New decals are in, cost is $3.50 ea, please see Jeff.

d.      New Club banner:  Craig is going to get the measurement of the banner to Roy so he can work on getting a new banner replacing the old “bass” on it.  June Update:  New banner is done and Craig will pick it up for the Wounded Warrior raffle Saturday 4 June.

5.       New Business:

a.       Proposal to current Article: 

                                                              i.      ARTICLE II:  ENTRY FEES & AWARDS

 A tournament participation fee of $15.00 per tournament shall be collected by the Tournament Director, Treasurer, or designated representative prior to the start of each tournament.  Participation fees can be paid by check or cash.  Awards will be paid by check from Club funds.  The tournament fee will be used to provide awards in the following percentages:

First Place--------- 35%

Second Place------20%

Third Place--------15%

Fourth Place------ 12%

Fifth Place---------8%

Club Funds--------10%

NOTE:  If less than three members weigh-in fish, the tournament awards will be paid out in full for each tournament as follows: One place only = 90%, Club Funds=10%. Two places:  1st=58%, 2nd=32%, Club funds, 10%. Three places: 1st=45%, 2nd=30%, 3rd=15%, Club Funds=10%.  Four places: 1st=40%, 2nd=25%, 3rd=18%, 4th=7%, Club funds=10% If no fish are caught, all tournament fees will be returned to the members.

                                                            ii.      There is an optional $5 big-fish pot, winner take all. 

                                                          iii.      June Update: Item was Tabled until our end of year meeting (Nov).

 

b.      Black Creek unsafe:  It was discussed and members present decided to leave tournament location unchanged for June.  See everyone at Black Creek Saturday.

7.       Closing Comments:  Keep Tony Bigot in your prayers, he will need additional knee surgery.  Cedric Peterson is getting hitched on Sat 4 June, Congrats!!!
