FLORIDA BASS FEDERATION NATION SOUTHERN REGIONAL TOURNAMENT:

Tournament was held on March 31 through April 2 on West Point Lake in Georgia.  Hub City Bassmasters had two of our very own on the 16 man Florida Team this year.  Michael Smith qualified as a non-boater by finishing 1st in this catagory at the State Championship held last November on Lake Okeechobee.  Larry "Stretch" Gaines qualified as a boater by finishing 5th in this category.  Aaron Richardson finished 6th in the Non-Boater category and was the 1st Alternate in this category.  The Florida Team consisted of 16 anglers.

During the 3-day Southern Regional Michael finished 5th overall in a field of 115 anglers and 2nd for the State Team.  He brought 11 fish to the scales weighing 34.02 lbs (just 3 oz out of 1st Place for the State).  Stretch finished 60th overall and 6th for the State Team bringing in 4 fish for a total of 13.05 lbs.

We're all proud of their accomplishments.
